The Leonard A. Lauder Community Care Nurse Practitioner Program at Penn Nursing is dedicated to the education and profession of nurse practitioners as a leading force in the advancement of health and health equity. This tuition-free program was launched in 2022 at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing to recruit and prepare a diverse cadre of expert nurse practitioners to provide primary care to individuals and families in underserved rural and urban communities across the U.S.Under the direction of the Leonard A. Lauder Community Care Nurse Practitioner Professor (e.g. Faculty Director), the Executive Director will oversee the day-to-day operations for the Program to ensure its successful development and implementation and advance its overall mission. The Executive Director will be responsible for timely execution and evaluation of the program components. They also will engage with and support Fellows and alumni and be responsible for Community Partner development, including establishing and maintaining relationships with community sites and preceptors. They will regularly engage with and serve as a staff liaison between community partners and the School and will develop and maintain communication among Advisory Board members.
