Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the general public.
This position’s typical schedule is 40 hours per week, which may include evenings and/or weekends.

- Ensure customers are serviced appropriately to meet their expectations.
- Support sales rep selling activities.
- Assist in handling customer complaints within district guidelines.
- Ensure all transactions are handled properly through the store computer operating system.
- Ensure that all customer orders are accurately measured and cut and that records are properly maintained.
- Ensure orders are installed in a timely manner.
- Place and follow up on purchases from outside vendors per established policy.
- Maintain floor covering inventory levels to maximize sales and inventory turns.
- Ensure that the floorcovering area is properly equipped and maintained to support the marketing plan.
- Ensure safety, loss prevention and security practices are followed according to policy and correct or report non-compliance.
- Perform/direct processing of daily batch paperwork.
- Ensure that staff performs at a level appropriate to meet store objectives by clearly communicating assignments and expectations.
- Work with carpet installers to ensure that they properly represent Sherwin-Williams while preserving their status as independent subcontractors.
- Must be familiar with the proper, handling, storing, labeling, cleaning up spills, disposing of and filing all paperwork associated with hazardous material/waste.
- Assist in conducting physical inventory in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:
- Employee is required to lift and carry up to 50 lb. frequently and up to 100 lb. on occasion
- Must have at least a High School diploma or GED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Retail sales and/or floorcovering experience
