The Job

The Bike, Ski, and Snowboard Mechanic/Technician Lead is a crucial member of the team responsible for maintaining, repairing, and building products related to bikes, skis, and snowboards. Reporting to the Bike, Ski, and Snowboard Mechanic/Technician Supervisor, this role is to provide leadership, technical expertise, and guidance to ensure that high-quality work standards are consistently met.

The Opportunity

  • Motivate a team of Bike, Ski, and Snowboard Mechanics/Technicians, setting an example of excellence and professionalism. 
  • Oversee and manage the completion of service shop tasks, including tunes, mounts, waxes, assemblies, and repairs, ensuring work standards are met and deadlines are maintained. 
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to Mechanics/Technicians to ensure accurate assessment and timely repair of customer equipment. 
  • Assist in assessing and providing accurate repair quotes upon customer arrival. 
  • Offer credible, unbiased advice to customers during service check-ins and assist them in selecting appropriate products. 
  • Participate in scheduled clinics and training sessions to improve personal gear knowledge and skills. 
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager and Supervisor in maintaining inventory and ordering necessary parts for repair jobs. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop area to optimize productivity. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 


Requirements

The Must Haves

  • No specific degree is required. 
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in bike, ski, and snowboard repair and maintenance. 
  • Demonstrated leadership experience or potential. 
  • Technical expertise, communication, problem solving, customer service
