What the Role Involves:
The Supervisor, Project Coordinators will work in close connection with the Manager, Coordination and Administration to supervise the Project Coordinators for Project Management, Non-Mechanical and Energy departments. In this dual role, this position will oversee administrative hourly employees along with working as Project Coordinator on new accounts or some existing accounts
This position is integral to provide a strong collaboration inter-departmentally to unified working relationships and practices and work as Project Coordinator. This position is responsible for the attainment of the operational goals in business as well as managing direct non-exempt staff to support the implementation of The AMS Group’s vision & strategy.
- Lead and support Project Coordinators, including team hiring and training. Provide management direction for auditing, processes to include project costs versus actuals, reviewing and assigning projects, documentation requirements, customer prequalification processes and employee performance management.
- Assist Department Managers, Program Managers and Controller/Accounting Group to set up and implement ops/accounting processes.
- Manage the contract review process from customer, General Contractor (GC) and work with legal before project execution per company policies and procedures.
- Final review and approval of all estimates and direct cost for other PC’s into job cost contract module before project approval, including change orders.
- Support investigations on any billing, contract or change order issues with internal and external customers and Department Managers. Plans and presents resolutions to Department Managers to mitigate additional escalation.
- Support The AMS Group Trade Compliance by executing AMS process with Dover Food Retail-Import/Export Manger to maintain all required compliance documentation including visual compliance.
- Other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma with 7+ years in the Project Coordination or similar role within General Contracting or Commercial construction role to lead projects, billings and WIP management.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business or Finance would be a plus
- Strong analytical, technological, communication and organizational skills
- Project Coordination and Project Management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Proficient in Project management and ERP software’s.
- Driven to provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers
- Ability to manage multiple efforts in a high pressure, fast-paced environment is critical.
- Experience with construction business practices, safety, and construction contracts.
