About the Team: 

 

As part of the Walmart Checkout Team, your role will involve developing, designing, and testing new code for our iOS app. You will also be responsible for addressing special business needs by making necessary changes to the code. You will have the opportunity to handle important and urgent software and system monitoring problems on your own, as well as troubleshoot issues that arise in our business and production processes. Being a member of this team means being a part of the world's largest retailer and contributing to the implementation of cutting-edge methods that have transformed our business significantly. 

  

What you'll do: 

  • Design and development of iOS applications, ensuring robustness, scalability, and optimal user experience. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to ensure that iOS applications are delivered on time and meet the required quality standards. 

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to our coding standards and best practices. 

  • Suggest and implement improvements in developer productivity and app performance. 

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in iOS development and make recommendations for improvements and optimizations. 

  • Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); engage support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; formulate an action plan; perform actions as designated in the plan; interpret the results to determine further action; perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; and complete online documentation. 

  • Must be a team-player and proactive in identifying any technical aspects which could impact overall systems. 

  • Monitor the performance of live apps and make improvements to enhance usability and resolve any issues. 

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
