Skills is currently seeking a full time Associate Director of Residential Services in Hanover, PA to provide oversight in the York, Adams and Cumberland Counties region. The Associate Director of Residential Services will be responsible for administrative oversight, the regulatory compliance and daily operation of residential programs. Assures that program services provide for the health, welfare and safety of consumers. Manages the residential programs following the principals of Everyday Lives. The Associate Director of Residential Services must be willing to work flexible hours with On Call Responsibilities.
The Associate Director works with the Director of Residential Services on the development and administrative oversight of the daily operation of the residential services program. Within the established guidelines of the Chapter 5100 and 6400 regulations the Associate Director – Residential Services will provide oversight, support and supervision to Program Specialists to ensure the people we support achieve their maximum potential in the areas of activities of daily living, personal care, functional activities and community participation. This will be achieved through the use of positive approaches and with respect to the rights of the people we support.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
An Associate Director – Residential Services shall have one of the following groups of qualifications:
- A master’s degree or above from an accredited college or university and 1 year work experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities. OR
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years work experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities. OR
- An associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years work experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
An Associate Director - Residential Services must:
- Have and maintain a valid PA driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Have a solid knowledge and understanding of Chapter 5100 and 6400 regulations.
SPECIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to learn and apply concepts of Everyday Lives, Person Centered Approaches, and applicable regulations.
- Computer literate and effectively use applicable computer programs.
- Other applicable requirements in accordance with human services regulations, including but not limited to First Aid and CPR certification (within six months of hire) and other required training and annual training requirements per job category.
- Strong ethical conduct and professional demeanor.
- Effective and concise written and oral communications skills and the ability to listen, comprehend and reason.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize actions required to quickly resolve issues and maintain high levels of productivity.
