JOB DESCRIPTION 

Summary: The Production Planner II supports the Production Planning Supervisor for the Westfield, Wells and Mocksville facilities to ensure production workload requirements are met. This position involves collaboration with internal customers such as Customer Service, Maintenance, Operations, Purchasing, R&D and Sales. Ensures that the organization is always represented in a professional manner.

Essential Functions: 

• Assists the Planning Supervisor in planning for multiple lines at any of our cook facilities: Westfield, Wells and Mocksville.
• Recommends the consistent update in Production schedules through the review and comparison of any variance in items or volume produced from the prior day’s schedule.  Based on this data, recommends the raw materials, equipment and manpower needed to cover production lines needed to run inventory.
• Analyze inventory amounts for planning by utilizing sales history and new business.
  Provides back-up for the Production Planner Supervisor as needed. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Minimum three years’ experience in Planning or Supply Chain logistics and/or as Brakebush Production Planner I.
• Ability to communicate, collaborate and manage healthy internal relationships with all levels
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills; attention to detail, math, and quick problem-solving skills 
• Competent in most Microsoft Office applications 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Previous experience working in production planning and control in the food industry
• Understanding of BOM’s and Routings; knowledge of Warehouse & Inventory Management
• SAP user experience
• Advanced MS Excel skills (formula creation, graphs, pivot tables workbooks)

Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibilities

 

Work Environment: The work environment is an office environment with standard temperatures and normal office noise levels. Slippery floors and cool temperatures are present while in production. Must wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.

Physical Demands: This position would be primarily sitting with little to no lifting or other physical demands.

 

Position Type: Salaried Non-exempt, 1st shift, full-time 

 

Travel: Minimal travel required
