Pay Rate:
$82,500-$121,000
Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.
Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s short –term incentive plan.

The Technical Assistant will be an assistant to the Pulp Area Manager and report directly to Pulp Business Unit Manager. This position will act as a resource for all facets of day-to-day operations in the Pulp department while designing systems to build long-term stability and reliability. The Technical Assistant will be heavily involved in a broad spectrum of areas such as Operations, Maintenance, Technical, and People. The primary focus of the Technical Assistant will be the Caustic Area with willingness to support the Digester and Woodyard areas as needed. They must help manage the safety, environment, people, operations, and reliability performance of the Pulp Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
The Job You Will Perform:
- All safety and environmental results for the Caustic Area.
- Owner of operations within the Caustic Area.
- Building, communicating, and executing consistent operating practices across all shifts.
- Developing and maintaining Operator engagement through communication, empowerment, and training.
- Investigating, resolving, and implementing process improvements.
- Interfacing with other departments to ensure quality parameters are achieved and maintained.
- Serving as operational support for reliability efforts, including MWS, Basic Care, IEPM, and RCFA.
- Serving as operational support for capital needs, including developing the FEL1 level of the Project Development Process (PDP).
