We are seeking a driven individual to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team within the Corporate Strategy group to provide financial support and analysis to aid departments in decision making.

We are seeking a driven individual to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team to provide financial support and analysis to aid departments in decision making. As a Senior Analyst, you will enable SageSure’s continued growth by strengthening financial budgeting and forecasting in these departments. This includes executing on a range of initiatives aimed at improving our financial performance and capabilities. To do this effectively, you will be comfortable working cross-functionally and with all levels of the organization, be organized and detail-oriented, and have a desire to learn in a hands-on environment. 

What you’d be doing: 

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Assist in the preparation and development of department budgets, forecasts, and other related reporting activities throughout the year
    • Input and maintain budget and forecast data in appropriate systems as well as any associated supporting schedules
    • Document and maintain budget and reforecast process workflows
    • Take ownership of data accuracy and integrity across necessary systems
    • Provide variance analysis of actual results versus budget and/or forecast
    • Proactively produce and analyze reports to develop insights about drivers of performance
    • Develop and maintain detailed financial exhibits as necessary
  • Financial Analysis and Support:
    • Develop a strong understanding of the corporate general ledger system and reporting tools
    • Perform variable and fixed cost analyses to identify potential improvement opportunities
    • Analyze and report on financial information and records as requested by management
    • Develop and maintain budget reporting metrics
  • Operational Improvements:
    • Enhance existing process documentation and create new process guides where needed
    • Develop library of reference information that will help strengthen FP&A operations
  • Support the development of an operational scorecard and regularly monitor our performance; use results to drive process improvements

 

We’re looking for someone who has: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • 3-5 years of professional experience FP&A or Accounting
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; ability to create compelling data exhibits and presentations for an executive audience
  • Experience in the insurance industry is preferred but not required
  • Experience with NetSuite and NetSuite Budgeting and Planning preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Desire to learn in a hands-on and dynamic environment
  • Robust organizational skills and attention to detail; maintain a high standard of documentation
  • The ability to communicate effectively across a wide range of audiences
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply skills learned in a rapid and effective manner
  • Operate with a strong sense of urgency
