Level II up to $68,000.00, based on education and experience

Level III up to $72,000.00, based on education and experience

Full Time /Part Time: Full Time

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday

Primary Hours: 8-5

Position Summary

SoonerStart is Oklahoma’s early intervention program designed to meet the needs of families with infants and toddlers (ages birth to 3 years old) with developmental delays and/or disabilities in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The program builds upon and provides supports and resources to assist family members to enhance infants or toddler’s learning and development through everyday learning opportunities.

The Behavioral Health Clinician in the SoonerStart program is primarily responsible for providing intervention services to children birth to three and their families to enhance well-being. In addition, Behavioral Health Clinicians facilitate the early identification of children with psychological, social, emotional, or behavioral issues; provide psychoeducation, prevention; training and education as well as consultation with parents and professionals on techniques to promote optimal social-emotional development. The Behavioral Health clinician will demonstrate capacity for providing evidence based/informed, developmentally sensitive, trauma informed supports and services for families, children and partners/professionals while exemplifying the values expected within the program and for promoting the mission of the organization.

This position is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services in the areas of behavioral and social emotional development.  Services are provided in the child’s natural environment settings in which children typically spend time, for example, home or childcare.  Services include screenings, evaluations, intervention, and parent education.
