Senior Backend Developer Job

<p>Who we are</p> <p> </p> <p>In our INNOVATION department we research, develop and commercialize assets to solve business challenges. We invent new solutions and create market differentiation through innovations in Cryptography, IoT/Smart City and Connected-vehicles. We support co-innovation engagement to establish a client’s innovation roadmap for accelerating digital transformation aligned with the strategic scope using design thinking to create a proof-of-concept or MVP.</p> <p> </p> <p>What you'll be doing</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Design and implement database schemas in both relational and non-relational databases such as SQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.</li> <li>Develop high-quality software applications using programming languages like Java, C#, or Python.</li> <li>Integrate external services and data sources using middleware technologies like ActiveMQ, MQTT, and Kafka.</li> <li>Design and develop CI/CD pipelines to facilitate code build, automated testing, and deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.</li> <li>Collaborate with architects to design and implement scalable and robust software architectures.</li> <li>Collaborate with AI\ML engineers in designing and implementing AI based solutions</li> <li>Proactively identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement and provide solutions to enhance the performance and reliability of the system.</li> <li>Participate in writing technical documentation.</li> </ul> <p><br/> What you'll bring along</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.</li> <li>Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software engineering.</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of various database technologies (both relational and non-relational).</li> <li>Very good knowledge of well known public cloud services (AWS, Azure or GCP)</li> <li>Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with messaging and integration middleware like ActiveMQ, MQTT, Kafka, etc.</li> <li>Strong experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.</li> <li>Familiarity with software architecture patterns and best practices.</li> <li>Team player, especially in multi-national teams.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effectively communicating with the team and ability to present information to varied technical and non-technical audiences.</li> <li>Good written and oral skills in English.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Nice to have:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Experience in working in European-funded research projects (Horizon or related).</li> <li>Experience with cloud-based platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.</li> </ul> <p>#LI-IT1</p>
