Who You Are
To help support our fast-growing business, Ontic is looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to develop and execute Ontic’s content marketing strategy in partnership with thought leaders across the organization as well as external subject matter experts. This role will be remote and report to the Director of Revenue Marketing.You will work strategically to develop powerful B2B content that helps enterprise teams get security done. You will create meaningfully specific content that helps Ontic establish authority where we win, address pain points, reflect our insights, and uncover undiscovered needs so that we can effectively engage prospects, move sales conversations forward, and differentiate ourselves as a trusted partner.
This role serves as a strategist, editor, contractor manager, and internal communicator for the written and video content we will produce. You will be obsessed with both the art and the science behind effective and impactful B2B content. As a data-driven marketer, you’ll work with Marketing Operations to measure and report on content performance and impact on engagement and revenue. A strong collaborator and organizer, you’ll liaise with subject matter experts internally across our Marketing and Product teams as well as externally across our network of clients, partners, and industry thought leaders.

Responsibilities
- Edit and project manage the creation of meaningfully specific, educational content that supports revenue marketing campaigns, including articles, checklists, frameworks, guides, reports, and videos
- Build and maintain strategic content roadmap and editorial calendar related to the key functions and responsibilities of corporate security teams
- Identify new content formats that will engage and educate our audience and find ways to repurpose existing content in new, compelling formats, including for different audiences (e.g. verticalize)Develop a bench of internal and external subject matter experts with deep expertise in specific security topics to consult on content
- Recruit and manage internal and external writers
- Partner with Design to bring content to market that inspires action
- Collaborate across Marketing and Sales to plan and distribute content through campaigns and field enablement
- Explore how to use AI to support the content program
- Use data to inform content strategy and analyze performance
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting and managing B2B content marketing programs in modern software businesses
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to think strategically and be creative while also making data-driven decisions
- Ability to zoom out to see the big picture of what’s being communicated in content (and what’s missing) and zoom in on areas to improve that communication
- An editorial mindset with a strong point of view and willingness to unify cross-functional teams to move content forward
- A learner mentality who seeks to go deep on security and become an internal expert on key topics
- Experience creating content for different media and audiencesWorking knowledge of SEO and video best practices
- Working knowledge of WordPress, Vimeo, and Hotjar (or similar systems) preferred
- Strong attention to detail while managing multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
- Ability to work with all levels across the organization as well as with clients and senior external subject matter experts
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization and with internal and external writers, designers, and subject matter experts to create compelling content that aligns with business objectives
- Excitement and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Portfolio of work, including writing samples and published content you’ve managed, required
