Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our global validation laboratory facilities across 5+ sites, ensuring seamless integration with engineering teams and the successful execution of test plans. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, promote best practices, and ensure that our labs are equipped to meet the needs of our evolving product development.

Essential Functions:
- Lead collaboration between direct and indirect teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of testing and validation activities
- Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for laboratory capabilities aligned with product development goals
- Partner with program leads to empower cross-functional teams to quickly evaluate test incidents and design gaps, and collaborate with cross-functional teams ensuring timely resolutions
- Integrated new technologies into lab environments to enhance efficiency and capability
- Oversee global lab operations to maintain compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
- Lead and develop a global team of laboratory managers, test engineers, and technicians, cultivating world-class performance and professional growth
- Manage the lab operations budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation aligned with organizational goals

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering (MS Preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of validation processes (mechanical, software, hardware, systems)
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in international multi-site team development and conflict resolution
- Proficiency in Lab Information management Systems (LIMS)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficient in 5S+1
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Test Engineering / Product Development
- Experience with recreational boat usage across various product categories enhances our ability to refine learning and improve test methodologies
- Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma is highly desirable to support and advance our evolving culture
Working Conditions:
- Frequently transitions between office and laboratory environments, with the ability to remain stationary for approximately 50% of the time
- Engages with a diverse range of laboratory equipment, including shock and vibration systems, environmental chambers, battery cell cycling setups, and robotics
- Regularly operates office equipment such as computers, calculators, copy machines, and printers
- Must be able to communicate clearly and exchange accurate information in verbal and written formats
- Requires the ability to observe details closely, within a few feet of the observer
- Working hours may vary to support a global organization
- Occasional domestic and international travel (10-15%) b automobile or airplane, including day and overnight trips
Compensation:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $112.900 - $181,400, annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
