PCG is looking for a Cerner Millennium FirstNet Specialist who is a specialized healthcare information system designed for managing emergency departments and providing real-time information to healthcare professionals involved in patient care. 

Job Summary: As a Cerner Millennium FirstNet Specialist, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, customization, and maintenance of the Cerner Millennium FirstNet system within a healthcare organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and effective use of FirstNet for emergency department operations and patient care. 

Responsibilities: 

• Configure and customize the Cerner Millennium FirstNet system according to the specific needs of the healthcare organization. 
• Collaborate with clinical staff, IT teams, and project managers to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations and workflows. 
• Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to ensure optimal system performance and user satisfaction. 
• Provide end-user training and support to healthcare professionals on the proper use of FirstNet. 
• Collaborate with vendor support teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement system upgrades or enhancements. 
• Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, workflows, training materials, and standard operating procedures. 
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and improvement. 
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new features within the Cerner Millennium FirstNet system. 
• Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new modules or functionality. 
• Adhere to regulatory requirements, data security standards, and privacy policies. 

Requirements

 

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare information management, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
• Previous experience with implementing and supporting Cerner Millennium FirstNet or other Cerner Millennium modules. 
• In-depth knowledge of emergency department operations and clinical workflows. 
• Proficiency in system configuration and customization within Cerner Millennium FirstNet. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance. 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide user training. 
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. 
• Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA and Meaningful Use. 
• Cerner Millennium FirstNet certification (preferred).
