Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption. Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work.

Job Description

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) seeks a part-time Senior Physical Therapist - Float at MSK Bergen and MSK Westchester cancer treatment center in Montvale, NJ and West Harrison, NY respectively as needed for coverage and/or patient demand. Our MSK Bergen and Westchester cancer center offers the highest standards of comprehensive cancer care in an environment designed to meet the unique needs of cancer patients and their families.

MSK is seeking to hire a part time, licensed Physical Therapist to join our outstanding team of rehabilitation professionals. Physical therapy experience in an adult outpatient setting is desired. Lymphedema certification and/or experience treating lymphedema preferred. At MSK, we offer world class training within our rehabilitation service focusing on opportunities to develop innovative, therapeutic programs for a diverse patient population. Our highly talented team assists patients throughout their continuum of care focusing on improved quality of life, overall function and independent management as needed. We are looking for an individual passionate about patient-centered treatment, teamwork, and best practice which results in an exceptional patient experience. Attention to detail, dedication to individualized care, and participation in a team approach is what MSK therapists provide with each interaction.

You will:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and reassessments of rehabilitative needs. Based on assessment findings, develop individualized patient goals and treatment plans.
Provide highly skilled physical therapy to adult patients in an oncology setting utilizing evidenced-based therapeutic interventions to maximize patient outcomes.
Provide coverage as needed at MSK Bergen in Montvale, NJ and, MSK Westchester in West Harrison, NY.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members, including the patient and their family, to ensure the highest level of clinical services are provided and experienced throughout the entire episode of care.
Participate in mentorship through various teaching and learning opportunities.
Engage in projects and activities to advance professional development and that support and advance institutional and departmental mission and goals.
