Associate, Claims

Position Summary:

This position works with insurance carrers' claims departments to discuss coverage issues and retail agents to ensure the timely reporting of insurance claims.

Essential Functions:

• Communicate with the insurance carriers' claims departments to discuss coverage issues.
• Responsible for working with our retail agents to ensure timely reporting of insurance claims.
• Request periodic status updates from insurance carriers.
• Maintain an up to date suspense/diary system.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Associate's Degree (AA) preferred.
• Candidate should have basic commercial insurance knowledge.
• Claims experience a plus.
• Analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate both internally and externally to brokers and business partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Proven track record of being a team player.
• Flexibility in workflow priorities as business needs change.
