As a Network Systems Administrator on an Enterprise Zero Trust Program for a DoD team, your responsibilities will include:
Designing, planning, and implementing network infrastructure, including hardware and software, to meet the organization's needs.
Installing, configuring, and maintaining network devices, servers, and applications.
Identifying and resolving network issues, including hardware failures, software issues, and security breaches.
Implementing and managing security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software, to protect the network from unauthorized access and threats.
Ensuring data backups and implementing recovery procedures to restore data in case of system failures or disasters.
Monitoring network performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing measures to improve efficiency and speed.
Providing technical support to users, answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and assisting with network-related issues.
Documenting network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and authorization to operate certification.
Working with vendors to procure and support network equipment.
Ensuring the network and systems comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in networking, including practical experience with hardware and software
Understanding of network protocols, topologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with Windows, Linux, or other operating systems used in the network environment is important.
Experience with tools like Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
Knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, and security best practices.
Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Current Secret clearance
Experience with network equipment and applications. (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, etc)
Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency at identifying and resolving network issues quickly and efficiently.
Proven aptitude for maintaining accurate and up to date documentation of the network infrastructure.
Core understanding of advanced routing and switching technologies, protocols, and implementation of complex network infrastructure.
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
Familiarity with DoD documentation (STIG/RMF) and ATO process.
Certifications to demonstrate specific knowledge and skills.
Security+ certification
