We’re looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and technically proficient Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager. This individual will play a key role in supporting complex accounting matters, building scalable processes, collaborating cross-functionally, and contributing to a strong internal control and reporting environment that meets the standards of a sophisticated, fast-growing SaaS company.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA office or Denver, CO office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with teams across Accounting Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, HR, and other departments to ensure technical guidance is consistently operationalized and understood.
  • Support initiatives to enhance external reporting readiness, including complex accounting topics, disclosures, and process improvements.
  • Help design and implement efficient, SOX-compliant accounting processes and internal controls to support organizational growth.
  • Partner with external auditors and consultants to ensure timely and accurate conclusions on accounting matters.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members on technical accounting topics and emerging standards.

Skills We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of combined experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or corporate accounting at a SaaS or high-growth technology company; CPA license strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical accounting expertise and experience drafting memos on complex, non-routine transactions.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal control frameworks (e.g., SOX).
  • Experience working in or supporting a company with increasing external reporting, audit, or regulatory complexity.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and a mindset toward process improvement and automation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail; comfortable working independently in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity working with Workiva, Looker, or similar tools for ad-hoc deep dives.
  • SQL skills are a plus, particularly for data extraction and analysis.
