Territory Account Specialist (TAS) Hybrid

What we’re seeking

The Food Safety Auditor & Territory Account Specialist Hybrid role is responsible for a territory of assigned accounts and will focus on food safety audits, food safety and sanitation training, chemical sanitation equipment maintenance, equipment installation, and provide local customer support for food safety and sanitation.  This is a full-time position, auditing and servicing retail grocery and food service establishments.  This person will conduct audits to measure conformity to established regulatory, industry, and customer brand standards for clients around food safety, workplace safety, and facility standards.  This person will also conduct on-site training sessions at food establishments in between each audit cycle.  Training session will focus on food safety and regulatory topics found in the audit form, as well as sanitation procedures and other facility standards.  This person will be responsible for responding to customer service calls to repair equipment in a timely manner. This role will work in coordination with other audit staff in the region to jointly support our customer base. This role reports to our Food Safety Technical Consulting team with a dotted line to a regional operations manager.

What you’ll do

  • Audit to food safety standards in assigned territory based on location.
  • Conduct site-level food safety and sanitation training in assigned territory based on location.
  • Install, repair, and maintain sanitation dosing equipment at the site level for retail grocery and food service accounts.
  • Communicate and suggest corrective actions with site level personnel
  • Learn account standards, participate in initial calibration activities, pass calibration exam.
  • Observe food preparation and cooking procedures to ensure food safety, health, and sanitation standards are followed.
  • Conduct audits that are scheduled weekly based on the contractor’s availability Monday through Friday. The length of each audit will vary.
  • Complete audits using an Android or iOS tablet.
  • Travel to client sites to complete audit.
  • Maintain / replace wall chart job aids, stickers, test strips, etc.
  • Install, repair, and maintain sanitation equipment to Diversey standard
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks and emergency calls
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships
  • Internal reporting and administrative tasks

What qualifications we require

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with programs for retail food safety and sanitation clients
  • Certified Professional – Food Safety (CP-FS) credential from NEHA
  • Valid US driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent time management, motivation, and professional in demeanor
  • Based in the Phoenix, AZ metro area

Additional considerations given

  • Registered Sanitarian or equivalent, i.e. REHS/RS credential
  • Degree in, Food science, Food and Nutrition, Restaurant Mana
