Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex Industrial Hygiene and Built Environment projects across Texas. This is a senior‑level role suited for a professional with deep technical expertise in asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, moisture intrusion, IAQ, and general industrial hygiene assessments, combined with strong project delivery and client management skills.
As a Project Manager, you will oversee project execution from proposal through closeout, manage client relationships, guide field teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the growth of our IH practice.
Job Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and manage multiple concurrent industrial hygiene, asbestos, lead, mold, and IAQ projects from planning through reporting and client delivery.
- Prepare project proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
- Ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of all project outputs.
- Provide senior oversight during abatement, remediation, and construction projects, including performing site visits and quality checks.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as primary point of contact for key clients; build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships.
- Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations clearly to clients, contractors, and internal leadership.
- Support business development activities through meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
Technical Expertise
- Provide advanced technical guidance on:
- Asbestos building inspections and abatement oversight
- Lead-based paint surveys and risk assessments
- Mold/moisture intrusion investigations and remediation design
- Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) assessments
- Industrial hygiene exposure monitoring and control strategies
- Review and sign off on technical reports and regulatory documents.
Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Assist in supervising and developing junior and mid‑level staff through field training, document review, and ongoing mentorship.
- Support resource planning and assignment of field staff.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- 5–10+ years of professional experience in industrial hygiene or built environment consulting.
- Demonstrated experience managing asbestos, lead, mold, IH monitoring, and IAQ projects.
- Strong understanding of EPA, OSHA, TDSHS, HUD, and other relevant regulations.
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and client‑facing skills.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Texas.
Preferred Certifications & Credentials
- TDSHS Asbestos Consultant (strongly preferred)
- Lead Risk Assessor / Inspector
- Mold Assessment Consultant (MAC)
- CIH or CSP (or on track to obtain)
- OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER
- Experience leading or supporting proposal development

- Sitting limited to lunch, breaks and driving.
- A number of duties performed on feet.
- Walking may be back and forth all day long over terrains that range from flat to hilly, rough and slippery.
- Able to carry equipment as much as 50lbs unassisted.
- Must be able to use hand and fingers to pick up objects, turn on regulators, insert earplug
