Location: Open to Portland, ME or Boston, MA

Overview:

Provide counsel and support on external communications strategy to regional leaders and others across the company. Develop and implement communications programs and initiatives for Bank-related products, services, activities, decisions, policies and personnel across assigned region or market.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as content manager for bank social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Linked-in, You Tube) including but not limited to the following responsibilities: recommend strategy, develop, schedule and post content, archive approvals, edit photos and graphics, manage key vendor relationships (external public relations agency, technology service providers, and tactical vendors), process billing for boosted content, coordinate with internal compliance and audit departments
• Manage track and analyze company media coverage, including daily and/or quarterly reporting of key media activity, share of voice, tone of media, and media coverage.
• Coordinate and produce external Bank communications, including press releases, talking points, speeches, community news articles, social media content, newsroom content.
• Anticipate and respond to media inquiries and issues
• Develop contacts inside the organization and with media and key community partners and leaders 
• Coordinate with Marketing and key Bank sponsorship staff on special events, promotions and social media content.
• Provide advice, counsel, and support to other regions and departments in the Bank for the above outlined activities.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree

4 years relevant experience, with minimum 2 years PR experience

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $71,985.72 - $119,976.20 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
