Software Development Manager

Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure team is building a new Cloud (Infrastructure-as-a-Service & Platform-as-a-Service) that operates at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their entire businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best in class compute, storage, networking, database, security and an ever-expanding set of foundational cloud-based services. OCI Console team is responsible for the architecture and design of highly available, scalable and responsive front-end applications (Web & Mobile) that help Customers interact with OCI and its services to provision their infrastructure needs. We’re looking for a hands-on leader with strong management experience to come lead and build a team responsible for developing highly scalable & reliable Web & Mobile applications. • Knowledge of full life-cycle software engineering practices including coding standards, testing, source control management, and operations. 
• 8+ years of experience in developing Web / Mobile applications.  2+ years of experience managing a team of software engineers or relevant experience. 
• Proficiency in JavaScript / Typescript, Angular / React & Redux. 
• Proficient at programming in one of the languages such as Java, C#, C/C++ 
• Bachelors in computer science and Engineering or related engineering fields

 

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong in problem solving abilities.
• 8+ years of experience in developing Web / Mobile applications. 
• Experience developing Web applications and/or experience building mobile applications. 
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences.  
• Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $109,200 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
