About Sharp’s Investment Banking Practice
Sharp Financials’ Investment Banking practice serves growing middle-market and lower middle-market companies, guiding them through M&A transactions as a seller or buyer, developing liquidity strategies, and sourcing and structuring debt or equity financing. We deliver holistic, high-touch solutions that support business owners through every stage of growth and transition. Sharp Financial creates value for our clients through our pioneering integrated financial management platform, combining business strategy, accounting, tax, wealth management, investment banking, and family office services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and review complex financial models, including valuation, transaction structures, capital raises, and liquidity analyses.
- Oversee Analyst work product, providing guidance, review, and quality control across models, presentations, and analyses.
- Support execution of M&A transactions, including buyer outreach materials, CIM development, management presentations, and data room coordination.
- Conduct in-depth company, industry, and buyer research to support transaction strategy and positioning.
- Assist in structuring and evaluating debt, equity, and hybrid financing solutions for growth, recapitalization, or liquidity events.
- Prepare and contribute to client presentations, investment committee materials, and internal transaction summaries.
- Participate in client calls and meetings alongside senior bankers, gaining exposure to deal strategy and client communication.
- Collaborate across Sharp’s integrated platform to ensure seamless execution and value creation for clients.
- Support internal process improvement, templates, and best practices as the Investment Banking platform continues to scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in investment banking required.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation (DCF, precedent transactions, trading comps), and Excel.
- Experience supporting live deal execution across multiple workstreams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
