Job Summary
The IT Business Analyst for HR is directly responsible to reshape the way HR Information Systems support the business by driving application and business process transformation. They will work with the HR Business Relationship Director, HR team members and third-party vendors. Accountable for multiple simultaneous initiatives. Responsible to solve system and data problems and improve processes. Responsible to provide best practices and value-added solution design recommendations and deliver on technology driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the HR Department to define requirements, evaluate potential solutions and define future state business processes.
- Create analysis artifacts and deliverables such as business requirements, user stories, functional requirements, and business rules.
- Learn the HR systems to make recommendations and support software enhancements.
- Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and communicate recommendations.
- Support creating and executing test cases.
- Ensure new ideas and change requests represent what the user community requires to work more efficiently and is aligned with the business goals.
- Ensures HR applications are seamlessly integrated with the organization’s software application suite.
- Supports Project Managers with managing project scope, change control, key value drivers, and critical outcomes for assigned IT projects.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout a project lifecycle.
- Represent the HR department and company when communicating to vendors and software implementors.
- Identifies project risks and supports mitigation plans.
- Develops training materials for end users and facilitates applicable training on new applications.
- Builds a strong network and collaborates across the organization.
- Develops and maintains current knowledge of the HR business area.
Minimum Requirements
- 7-10+ years direct work experience as IT Business Analyst.
- 5+ years HR Application Implementations experience.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Advanced proficiency with all MS Office applications.
- Travel: 0-25%
Preferred Skills
- Significant knowledge and experience with HR processes and workflows.
- Experience with HR Application Implementations.
- Strong and effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with agile principals, driving decision making and aligning the team on objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Ability to influence customer's expectations and develop win-win outcomes.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Walk short distances.
- Reach above and/or below shoulder.
- Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
- Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
- Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
