Lead Cook ($22.07/hr, Union Position)
Minimum 3-year experience
Minimum Availability: 70% of available shifts (prep and event)

In addition to the Senior Cook, and Culinary Cook role responsibilities, the Lead Cook will:

● Conduct culinary execution on event days.

● Assist in cold food and hot food preparation.

● Help train new BU members in cold and hot food preparation.

● Assists in delegating work assignments to Culinary Cooks and oversees the completion

of tasks to maximize productivity and efficiency

● Practice advanced culinary skills, such as grilling, sautéing, braising, steaming, cuts-julienne cuts, brunoise cuts, varied dice cuts, protein preparation, sauce preparation, hot food execution (fire), plating, garnishing, and expo.

● Understand and perform different types of cuts-julienne, different size dice’s, brunoises

● Able to understand prep and fire sheets, ability to supervise other cooks, to oversee prep sheets are being completed correctly

● Reports to Culinary Management

● Assists in training and guiding Culinary Cook on job duties, proper food safety and sanitation procedures, cooking methods, etc

● Maintain and/or delegate cleanliness and sanitation practices in kitchens and oversee completion of daily food temperature log Re-delegated to the Supervisor position

● Performs other related duties as assigned by a Culinary Supervisor, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef

● Leadership experience and qualities required:
