Under the direction of the President of Ivy Tech Foundation, the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Operations and Advancement Services ensures the successful execution of a variety of projects and initiatives under the purview of Ivy Tech Foundation. The AVP will lead the implementation, tracking, and reporting of the Foundation’s strategic plan; lead all process improvement initiatives for Ivy Tech Foundation; and lead Ivy Tech Foundation’s Advancement Services team. The AVP for Operations and Advancement Services will lead with an eye toward Operational Excellence and creating an exceptional experience for campuses and donors.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports the Foundation President, Foundation CFO, and Vice President Development in their leadership responsibilities related to College-wide and Foundation projects for which they serve as project sponsor or owner.
STRATEGIC PLAN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guide the overall implementation of the Foundation’s strategic plan.
Lead execution of implementation plans for the four goals.
Develop a system to monitor and report on lead metrics and supporting metrics, as well as work to establish new impact metrics.
Provide updates to SO Foundation and statewide campus on progress.
CONTINOUS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as point person for transformational process management and continuous process improvement activities and deliverables system-wide.
Build and sustain a process-managed culture that delivers measurable value targeting efficiency and cost optimization.
Advise the Foundation on emerging critical issues.
Actively facilitate Simplex creative problem-solving sessions as a certified facilitator in support of project and business needs in conjunction with extended program teams.
Lead development and implementation of trainings for SO Foundation and statewide Foundation team that are a result of process improvements, as well as other team trainings needed.
ADVANCEMENT SERVICES RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides leadership of the Advancement Services team.
Builds out and executes an Advancement Services strategy to operationalize an exceptional donor and campus experience. Salesforce strategy and migration for Workforce/CareerLink.
Responsible for oversight of the integrity and accuracy of data generated within the Foundation. Serves as the primary liaison with Business Analytics and OIT, ensuring the needs of the statewide team and partners are addressed.
Responsible for oversight of IvyConnect-Foundation and other technologies that will support and optimize the operations and outcomes of the Foundation.
Develop a strategy for how to best leverage data to support fundraising strategies.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the preparation of all presentation materials, including presentations to the State Board of Trustees, for the Foundation in collaboration with the internal marketing team. Oversees projects within the Foundation. Includes developing and presenting executive reports, creating project teams, convening, and conducting meetings, managing project timelines, budget and coordinating training and implementation of projects.
Facilitates project meetings and discussions, including crafting meaningful agendas, documenting, and synthesizing discussions, and establishing and assigning actionable next steps. Tracks deadlines, deliverables, and outcomes of Foundation projects.
Serves as a liaison to other divisions and external entities to communicate divisional needs and requests, solicit opportunities for collaboration, and participate in cross-divisional work groups and committees.
Builds and maintains strong, enduring, statewide campus and external stakeholder relationships.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
