Front-End Web Developer

The Basics:

As a member of Tanium’s Brand and Corporate Marketing team, the Front-End Developer reports to the Web Architect to maintain legacy code and build out new features and functionality for Tanium websites.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with React and jQuery, and a deep understanding of creating interactive content with Canvas. 

This is a hybrid position, which will require in person attendance several days each week in one of the following locations: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with a distributed team of front-end developers, content managers, and designers 
• Build new components to add features and functionality to Tanium websites 
• Maintain and update legacy React components and libraries 
• Create new Canvas objects for an immersive web experience 
• Ensure security and scalability on all modern browsers, across all platforms and devices 
• Recognize, identify, and patch vulnerabilities in the code 

We’re looking for someone with:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in front-end web development 
• Minimum of 2 years of experience using React 
• Minimum 1 year of Canvas experience 
• Extensive understanding and use of jQuery 
• Practical application of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Sass 
• Thorough experience with Git 
• Preferred but not required: WordPress, PHP, Open Graph, Gulp, ADA Compliance
