Job Description:
This position is for an individual with responsibilities to design, develop, test, as well as maintain embedded software code. This code is for embedded software-controlled features for machines. 

Duration: 24 months

Must have 8+ yrs of Embedded Software Engineering experience Must have bench testing experience, Must have C/C++ or Matlab/Simulink experience Must have experience with Git, ClearCase, or Subversion Must have BA in Computer or Electrical Engineering

Requirements

Typical task breakdown

• The individual is responsible for translating requirements documentation and design concepts into software to be used on machine. They will be maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing software as well. They are also responsible for testing software on bench as well as on machine.  

Interaction with team: 

• The individual will work with an experienced software architect on development of features required for machine applications.

Work environment: 

• Team is working in a hybrid environment with 50% of their time spent in the office. This may vary with testing and development activities required for the various programs.

Education & Experience Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering strongly preferred but other relevant technical four-year degrees will be considered 
• Master’s in CE or EE considered as two additional years’ experience
• Relevant internships will count toward experience but durations must be listed on resumes

Technical Skills 
REQUIRED:
Two years of experience with software development, specifically in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, knowledge of source control tools and software change management practices is required. 
DESIRED:
Experience with AUTOSAR and automation tooling like Python is desired. Understanding of communication protocols such as CAN/J1939 and their support tools is desired. Experience with using hardware and software tools like multi-meters, debugger, oscilloscopes is desired. 

Soft Skills
Individual must be capable of juggling multiple projects at the same time and be able to work with other groups independently.
