Patient Service Rep/Medical Assistant - Milligan Surgical Clinic (Cleveland Location)

Milligan Surgical Vein Clinic is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time to full-time Patient Service Rep (PSR) / Medical Assistant (MA) for a new medical office in Cleveland, TN. The position will be full-time position, hours are Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

• Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
• Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.
• Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of all doctors, staff, and patient information.
• Schedule appointments between doctors and patients.
• Adhere to policy and procedures during all activates.
• Ensure that patients complete necessary forms required for the electronic health record and billing office
• Ensures good patient flow through practice by timely and accurately processing of patients as they arrive at front office
• Answer patient inquiries regarding patient registration and surgery information
• Document scanning, faxing, documenting into electronic health record
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working in a medical office required.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance plans preferred.
• The ability to type and file accurately.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Good telephone etiquette.
