Position Summary The Digital Press Operator is responsible for all aspects of operating the digital printing equipment to production and quality standards.
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Operate digital print equipment and the software necessary for print operations.
• Complete jobs according to customer specifications in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor production output throughout the run for quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal printing conditions.
• Ensure materials for the job are in stock and available for production.
• Properly document production information to account for all labor and materials consumed on a job.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Properly execute pressroom Safety Procedures 
• Act as a resource to Apprentice and Feeder
• Troubleshoot with the help of the Lead Operator
• Work overtime as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Mandatory Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), four plus years of relevant industry experience or 520 hours as an Imagine temporary employee along with manager’s approval to hire full-time
• Proficient in computer applications, including Mac and Windows operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 plus years of experience working in printing, manufacturing, distribution and/or fulfillment
• Experience using and ERP system

Knowledge and Skills

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to follow documented procedures.
• Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions proficiently.
• Ability to read and understand tape measure and other measuring equipment.
• Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
• Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstation.
• Demonstrate a positive safety attitude.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping
• Frequent walking and standing for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds
• Ability to visually inspect all work for defects
• Manual dexterity for repetitive work

The national pay range for this role is $18.00 - $32.00 per hour. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
