Are you looking for a pediatric Registered Nurse position within our Burn unit at Riley? As the only verified pediatric burn unit in the state of Indiana, Registered Nurses in this unit are dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to their patients. In the Burn Unit, we see ICU overflow and plastic surgery patients and take care of some cardiac patients waiting for a transplant on drips.

Shift: Full-time, Nights

Nursing skills gained on this unit:

  • Critical care assessment skills
  • Training for acute burn care
  • Assist with bedside procedures such as central line placement and intubation

Unit Successes/Designations:

  • Indiana’s only American Burn Association (ABA) verified pediatric burn center
  • Hoosier Burn Camp involvement
  • Patient/family support group
  • Capstone Preceptors for nursing students

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. 
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. 
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. 
  • Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
