BillingPlatform is looking for an Accounting/Business operations manager to join our amazing team. We offer a start-up-like culture and a chance to get involved in virtually all aspects of the business. This position will manage a small team and is critical to the growth of our Finance department.

Responsibilities

  • Own the month-end close process including financial statement preparation and budget to actual analysis
  • Oversee the bookings, billing, and revenue processes
  • Review and sometimes prepare journal entries and reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts. Including cash, AR, prepaid accounts, accruals, and deferred revenue
  • Administer commission accruals and payouts
  • Oversee accounts payable and collection functions
  • Oversee the payroll processing and other HR-related functions
  • Assist with general ledger activity and other accounting functions
  • Be the primary point of contact for audits and tax filings
  • Assist with monthly Board of Director meeting preparation
  • Assist in product development as applicable
  • Ability to work and collaborate with multi-department operations
  • Help to further implement and formalize accounting processes and policies
  • Help formalize and mature the internal control environment
  • Monitor company KPIs and achievement
  • Work closely with the Controller, CFO, and CEO and make sure all teams are collaborating and delivering to the business
  • Implement initiatives and work closely within tight deadlines.
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for your team.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Controllership/Financial/Accounting/Auditing experience
  • BA in Accounting required, CPA a plus
  • Big 4 or equivalent Public Accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP & SaaS revenue accounting including ASC 606
  • Ability to effectively manage and coach a diverse team
  • Ability to problem solve with limited supervision or guidance
  • Self-starter, team player, and strong communication skills at all levels
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Google application skills, especially Excel

The base salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $130 000 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. Salary information is provided per state regulations in CA, CO, NY, and WA.
