JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Sr Agronomy Admin Assistant
Reports to: Vice President of Agronomy
Classification: Fulltime, Hourly
Supervisory Responsibilities: No Direct Reports
- Summary/Objective: Agronomy record keeping, office operations, and other duties as assigned by management while maintaining an attitude that promotes team work within Legacy and a positive image of the agronomy department and Legacy as an overall company and cooperative.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Prepare monthly agronomy financial branch reports for VP of Agronomy and Agronomy Management Staff
- Track Agronomy program credits and charges
- Maintain an accurate record of all agronomy purchases and sales
- Assist in perpetual inventory records, adjustments and accuracy
- Troubleshoot branch margin issues
- Maintain retail pricing in database, retail price sheets, and product code, etc. set up
- Work with agronomy branch administrative assistants in directing and assisting them as needed in good record keeping and accountability
- Update office and bookkeeping procedures to achieve maximum efficiencies
- Work with all agronomy department managers and staff in assisting them as needed and as availability allows
Requirements:
- High school graduate with additional business background
- 3-5 year administrative experience
- Working knowledge of ag business to be able to answer minor technical questions
- Good organization skills a must
- Maintain neat and clean work environment
- Work with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and controller to maintain accurate and efficient records
- Good understanding of accounting methods and spreadsheets
- Self-motivated and ability to work well with others and independently
- Required to uphold LFC’s Credit and Safety policies
- Ability to adapt to and work longer and/or varied hours during busy season as the needs of the business dictate
- Customer-service focused
- Help in any way possible to achieve Legacy’s mission and goals
