About the role

Exercise and Wargame Planner, Senior

The Opportunity:
As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve some of our clients’ most complex problems—and find solutions that keep our nation safe.

Do you want to use your creativity, problem-solving, and storytelling skills to improve organizational mission performance in global defense? You understand there is no single or easy solution to prepare for the unforeseen. By creating and testing real-world scenarios, you know how to help government organizations make faster and smarter decisions based on data.

As an Exercise and Wargame Planner on our team, you’ll develop, implement, and measure the effectiveness of plans and procedures for clients, creating rich content using Microsoft Office to help you tell a realistic story. You’ll listen to client challenges, identify threats, gaps, or risks that need to be explored and provide a safe space for recommendations that will make a lasting, real-world impact.

You will also prepare and conduct defense and military analysis in support of a major Combatant Command. As an experienced wargame planner, you will conduct general research to support warfighting disciplines, COA analysis, strategy development, and organizational processes and procedures. You’ll support the design, execution, and delivery of analytic tasks associated with wargames, simulations, and tabletop exercises, including the shaping of objectives, crafting of wargaming constructs, authoring of scenarios, facilitation of participant discussions, and authoring of after-action reports and briefings. You’ll provide wargame subject matter expertise on military weapon and system capabilities, force structure and readiness analyses, regional and global strategy and policy issues, and assessments of joint, mission, and theater-level military operations. You will brief senior-level government leadership on study findings.

As a leader in the firm’s global defense, you’ll have the chance to work cross-functionally with other wargame analysts, operations researchers, and senior leadership on projects that are making an impact on critical missions. You’ll share your expertise and collaborate with the industry’s best programs like Exercise Design and Event Planning and Facilitation.

Bring your skills to Booz Allen and discover solutions that will shape the future and help government organizations thrive.
