Fulfillment Center Lead

Summary

The Fulfillment Center Lead oversees the warehouse including the activities of employees responsible for the picking and packing of orders or processing of returns. This position reports to and takes direction from the Supervisors, Assistant FC Manager, and FC Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

• Help lead the work and process of Fulfillment Associates.
• Assist FC Management with onboarding and training of new employees; aid in the continual development of new and tenured Warehouse Associates.
• Assist FC Management by identifying work procedures, and expediting and balancing workflow.
• Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Assist associates with work process problems.
• Maintain harmony among associates and work with FC Management to resolve issues while reducing mistakes and increasing productivity.
• Help keep management informed of team concerns relating to policies, procedures, and personnel.
• Work closely with the Supervisors and other internal partners to coordinate workflow and labor management and quickly resolve issues; promptly report any issues to FC Management.
• Assist with basic and advanced FC functions to accommodate team needs when necessary.
• Perform duties of FC Supervisor as needed.
• Opening and Closing of FC when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by FC Management.

Required Education and Skills

• High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Excellent computer skills; ability to learn new software quickly.
• Previous experience in warehouse or fulfillment center setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company.
• Excellent problem-solving ability.
• Capacity to work well with others and direct work in a professional manner.
• Easily adaptable to change in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Experience

• Working knowledge of Apple technology.
• Familiarity with Google products (Drive, Gmail, and Docs).

Physical Demands

This position requires the employee to be on their feet for the majority of the shift. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
