As a full time, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Specialty Pharmacy Liaison, you will work within the clinics to engage the providers and the patients of a health system to improve continuity of care across the system. The Specialty Liaison consults with each patient within the clinic, with the goal being to provide pharmacy services through the health systems specialty/retail pharmacy. This position acts a liaison between the specialty pharmacy, providers and patients. The liaison would work to increase prescription capture and provide follow up counseling and communication to the patient and provider. The Specialty Liaison would also be responsible for assisting the specialty pharmacy with data entry, financial assistance, prior authorizations and updating clinical information. This position also works closely with the CPS Patient Care Service team. The Specialty Pharmacy Liaison works under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Starting salary range: $21 - $28 hourly (based upon related work experience).
Required Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalency, college degree preferred
- Pharmacy Technician license or registration issued by the state of Michigan
- Experience in specialty or outpatient pharmacy, and clinical pharmacy support for clinical programs preferred
- Exposure to managed care preferred
- Through training and/or experience, possess necessary knowledge to provide oversight of medication regimens for the patient populations treated in the facility including a knowledge of dosing for specific age populations
- Independence with regards to communication with providers and patients
- Ability to use pharmacy management system and care management platform
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective communication skills - verbal and written
- Proficient computer skills using Pharmacy systems and Microsoft applications – Outlook, Word, Excel
- Experience in speaking with patients and healthcare professionals (e.g. via Telephone, Face-to-Face, Telepharmacy, etc.)
Hospital Requirements: (may be required)
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Ser
