About the role
Job Summary
Perform activities related to shipping, receiving and inventory control.
Primary Duties
- Order picking, material movement, and processing orders in DSP, CSI and/or SAP systems.
- Packaging or staging orders in preparation for shipment or internal use.
- Scheduling LTL and FTL shipments and investigating logistical issues.
- Restocking product and materials and keeping work area clean and organized.
- Utilizing inventory control systems via computers, tablets, scanners, etc.
- Communicate with Supply Chain and Customer Service regarding material, product, orders, shipments, etc.
- Assist with training of new team members as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Have good organizational, communication and math skills.
- Advanced computer skills including MRP systems, email, chat, internet and scanning systems.
- Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate. Warehouse temperature may reach up to 90 degrees during the Summer months.
Education / Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 5 years of prior warehouse experience, or 1 year with PTI.
