Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Procurement Services department at Iowa State University (ISU) is seeking qualified candidates for an eProcurement customer service representative. This position assists the eProcurement Administrator with managing the University’s electronic procurement (e-procurement) function and serves as the primary point of contact to provide customer service assistance with the system (cyBUY). The e-procurement function currently manages $25 to $30 million in spend per year.
Responsibilities of this position include: serving as the primary departmental representative to assist cyBUY customers via email and phone providing guidance and/or explanation to respond to users’ questions, troubleshoot and resolve issues, or seek solutions to unique requests or problems; reviewing electronic transactions for compliance with university procurement policies and practices and following up with non-compliant users; assisting with administration of cyBUY and Amazon Business user training; and interpreting and communicating to internal and external constituents procurement-related policies, processes, and procedures. This position also participates in bi-weekly team meetings and facilitates resolution of both supplier and e-procurement platform issues.
The successful candidate will have the ability to obtain thorough working knowledge of the university’s e-procurement system as well as its procurement policies, processes, and procedures to interpret, problem solve, and provide responses to customer’s inquiries; form positive working relationships with customers both internal and external to the University; and self-direct to achieve their goals as well as work collaboratively as a member of a team. The successful candidate will possess superior communication skills and be able to prioritize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
