Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Administrative Assistant will manage business office functions and provide support to the unit in day to day functions. Professional, welcoming, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the face and first point of contact for our company. This role is essential in creating a positive first impression for visitors, clients, and employees, while providing key administrative support to the team. Handling confidential information, problem solving abilities and using strong communion skills to ensure a smooth process. Overall supporting staff with various task to ensure office efficiency.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Communication: Effectively communicate and collaborate with employees and outside contacts. Professionally represent the company when dealing with employees and outside State and local agencies. Communicate effectively with other departments.
Monthly Reports: Prepare, review and assist with various departmental reports including monthly and credit card reports in a timely manner.
Invoicing: Make sure all invoices are correct and processed within the due date.
Office Assistance: Handlings correspondence (phones, emails, mail, fax, ETC) for the unit. Maintain filing and database systems. Ordering office supplies, lunches and sometimes assist with travel arrangements.
Scheduling: Assist the staff in scheduling conference rooms, meetings, deliveries and
THM: Promote cleanliness and order through the implementation of the Total House Keeping Maintenance program. Emphasize Nothing Touch Ground program and No Visual Pollution program. Maintain the plant in like new condition.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous Related Experience Required
A minimum of two (2) years of clerical experience required, dependent upon education.
Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job
• General PC skills such as MS Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
• General mathematic and writing skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work as a team player
• Good data entry skills
• Self-motivated, curious and eager to learn.
• Knowledge of AS400, ERP Websmart, preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Type 50 WPM required
Education
High School diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s Degree, or High School diploma or equivalent with two (2) years clerical experience preferred.
