Job Summary:

Job Description:

PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Software Engineer in Austin, TX

Job Duties: Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure and cloud solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Build, optimize, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools like Jenkins, AWS, Git to streamline software delivery. Lead cloud migration projects, transitioning on-premises systems to AWS, ensuring scalability and high availability with services like EKS, ECS, and Lambda. Administer and orchestrate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, managing large-scale clusters and automating workflows with custom operators. Design and Implement monitoring, logging, and disaster recovery solutions to improve reliability, resilience, and real-time performance visibility. Oversee security measures, including IAM policies, SSL configurations, and AWS Key Management Service (KMS) while addressing vulnerabilities and following industry best practices. Collaborate across departments and lead technical teams, providing documentation, mentorship, and training to ensure successful project delivery. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

1.              Jenkins administrator developing automated CI/CD Systems (3 years)

2.              Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for application scalability and orchestration (3 years)

3.              Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools like Terraform, Ansible (3 years)

4.              Experience working on AWS cloud with strong Linux background (3 years)

5.              Experience with Python, Go, or Bash (2 years)

6.              Experience with relational databases, such as Postgres, Oracle (2 years)
