Job Description: DevOps and SecOps Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive DevOps and SecOps Engineer to oversee and optimize our infrastructure and security operations. This role demands expertise in managing cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and a deep understanding of performance optimization, cost management, compliance, and security practices. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with onshore and offshore teams to maintain, secure, and enhance the reliability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. DevOps and SecOps Management

○      Manage and optimize DevOps pipelines and security operations to ensure seamless and secure workflows.

○      Automate deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management processes.

1. Performance Optimization

○      Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across GCP assets, including databases.

○      Proactively monitor system performance and implement tuning measures to improve efficiency.

1. Cost Management

○      Analyze resource utilization to identify cost-saving opportunities.

○      Implement and monitor ongoing cost optimization strategies across GCP and associated systems.

1. Security and Vulnerability Management

○      Stay ahead of penetration testing results and other security vulnerability assessments.

○      Implement necessary patches, configurations, and updates to mitigate risks.

1. Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

○      Conduct thorough RCAs for incidents and ensure timely resolution of action items.

1. Compliance Oversight

○      Understand SOC2 and GDPR requirements and collaborate with compliance systems to maintain certifications.

○      Work closely with compliance teams to address audit findings and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

1. Proactive Monitoring and Troubleshooting

○      Continuously monitor infrastructure and applications to identify and resolve issues promptly.

○      Implement monitoring tools to ensure high availability and reliability of services.

1. Access and Permissions Management

○      Provision and manage user permissions on GCP and other database platforms securely and efficiently.

1. Patch Management

○      Ensure timely application of patches and updates across all GCP resources to maintain security and compliance.
