About the role

The Growth team is responsible for bringing Shopify to the world’s entrepreneurs. We are looking for a Growth Management Lead to accelerate the performance of our growth programs and channels through experimentation and optimization.This role will work to drive improvements to help more entrepreneurs, across the world, scale from Hello World to IPO. 

This role sits at the intersection of analytics, product and growth marketing. The ideal candidate is user obsessed and has a technical, analytical and product background with experience delivering high impact and sustainable growth. They have experience working closely with cross-functional partners and have demonstrated success optimizing customer journeys by applying growth principles to drive performance -- including experimentation, data-driven optimization and customer-centric product positioning. 

You’ll be doing things like:

• Perform quantitative analysis to understand merchant pain points.
• Identify opportunities to drive growth through product changes, CRM, and paid marketing
• Lead experimentation program to understand incremental impact
• Own prioritization and execution of product changes in partnership with engineers, product managers, designers, data scientists and content strategists.
• Leverage growth and optimization principles to achieve results and lead progress.
• Act as a Growth expert by leveraging the collective knowledge of the team and cross-applying learnings 

Qualifications

What you need to apply / Qualifications

• Experience performing data analysis and critical thinking skills that allow you to go beyond just the numbers and assess creative assets and copy
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, designers and data scientists
• Experience with querying data sets using SQL
• Experience with product optimization, including: conversion funnels, page optimization
• Experience leading high-cadence controlled experimentation
• Identifying opportunity and leading product changes with a cross functional team of engineers, product managers, designers and data scientists
• Building strategy and leading execution to drive measured outcomes.

Bonus if you have: 

• SaaS business growth experience 
• A willingness to work outside of your scope in order to bring alignment and better overall outcomes to the business at large
• Experience in reaching and engaging technical audiences (Engineers, Data Scientists) 
• Entrepreneurial experience bootstrapping your own business - maybe even with Shopify!
