Automotive Services Field Manager

AAA Northern New England is looking for an Automotive Services Field Manager to join our team in Portland, ME!

This role is responsible for managing and growing a large network of Emergency Roadside Service (ERS) providers, ensuring top-tier service quality for members and leading provider compensation and incentive programs, implements strategic initiatives, and develops value-added programs to enhance service quality and reduce costs. As an Automotive Services Field Manager, you will have full managerial responsibility for a team of Contract Station Relations Supervisors. In addition, position has functional managerial responsibility over up to 175 ERS companies which involve dealing with facility owners and corporate officers.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and manage a high-performing network of roadside service providers.

  • Drive service quality by setting expectations, mentoring providers, and resolving performance issues.

  • Enforce contracts and lead investigations to drive results.

  • Control costs through rate negotiations, payment audits, and budget oversight.

  • Lead provider recognition and incentive programs to boost engagement.

  • Grow Emergency Road Services Program revenue by promoting value and sustaining provider loyalty.

  • Expand service coverage by recruiting top-tier towing and repair companies.

  • Hire, coach, and develop staff while managing team performance and budget.

What You'll Have:

  • 4-yr. College Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Emergency Road Services, repair, or related automotive management experience required.

  • Experience managing large external vendor relationships, including management of work teams desired.

  • Prior experience developing recommendations and proposals, as well as successful negotiations and complaint resolution required.

  • Prior experience in the preparation and analyses of financial reports, development of cost-benefit models and understanding of financial spreadsheets and profit and loss statements required.

  • Prior experience creating and presenting territory information to upper management desired.

  • You must possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record and be able to provide proof of automobile liability insurance at time of hire
