Department Summary

The Health Research and Innovation Center (HRIC) is a multidisciplinary hub advancing education, grant development, preclinical and clinical research, and centralized clinical trials to accelerate discovery and improve patient and community health.

Position Overview

This position manages critical departmental databases related to intellectual property, entrepreneurial resources, and client relations, while supporting special projects and departmental functions through the coordination of data collection, analysis, and the preparation of related materials.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Considerable knowledge of general office procedures and practices.
  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures related to the area of assignment.
  • Skill in making mathematical calculations and computations.
  • Ability to keep complex records; to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Knowledge of safe working procedures related to work performed.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will also possess the following additional qualifications: ability to pay close attention to detail experience with managing information databases

Job Duties

  • Organize, enter, and maintain database information. 
  • Develop queries for reporting of data and share information with others.
  • Create and manage deadline-driven, administrative workflows arising from information in multiple systems. 
  • Support and maintain web-based resources utilized by the office. 
  • Prepare reports, records, and other documents
