Sr. Portfolio Manager - Commercial Loans

POSITION SUMMARY

This position’s responsibilities include portfolio management together with the cross selling of Bank products and services.  Maintain and oversee the client relationships through gathering of financial and other data, performing basic monetary transactions and ongoing customer service while assisting to maintain loan and bank credit file documentation.  Additional responsibilities will include the facilitating of communication within the organization between lenders and loan support teams.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Initiates and maintains effective communication with commercial lenders and their clients.
• Communicates with clients to obtain required financial information and other information needed to conduct business. Follow-up with clients, including letters, e-mail and phone contact to assure collection of requested information for purposes of monitoring the loan portfolio and performance of periodic reviews of credits.
• Work with BBA team to prepare necessary forms such as checklists and worksheets.
• Obtains and reviews supplemental documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and completeness of credit files, including, but not limited to, flood certifications, lien searches, appraisals and title insurance.
• Works with the BBA team on the follow up on tickler items for assigned commercial lender(s). Works with lenders and clients to ensure resolution of any exception items. 
• Coordinates the updating of ticklers and imaging of financial and other documents.
• Assists commercial lenders by scheduling and facilitating loan closings and/or other meetings with the borrower, as directed. Works with other members of the loan support team to provide customer service to commercial lenders and their clients.
• Upon request, assist with processing daily overdrafts for assigned commercial lender(s).
• Performs the review of loan documents for completeness prior to signature from the borrower and communicates with BBA’s and Loan Operations on necessary changes needed.
• Present and participates in organizational and lender meetings on behalf of the lender/PM team when necessary.
• Operates as a point of contact for lender portfolio for all BBA, Appraisal department or loan operations personnel with questions on files or transactions.
• Review financial performance of Borrowers and work with Credit Analysts and Lenders to assess credit risk.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• College degree in business related field or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
• Previous financial industry experience required.
• Solid sales skill set preferred.
• Previous credit experience required.
• Comprehensive skill set in the use of the following software applications: Abrigo, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the following function(s): Credit Analyst, Portfolio Manager or Commercial Lending.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Annual salary DOQ: $80,000- $100,000 - $120,000
