Company Description

Locus Robotics is a leader in the rapidly growing eCommerce order fulfillment optimization space. Our solution helps warehouse owners attain 2-3X efficiency improvement over cart-picking operations, by empowering pickers to work collaboratively with our robots. All this is accomplished while integrating with the operator’s Warehouse Management System, utilizing and optimizing existing facility infrastructure. 

We are seeking a Global Tax Senior Analyst, who will be reporting to the Director, Corporate Controller. The primary responsibilities for this role will be assisting with a variety of domestic and international tax filing and accounting, tax compliance and planning work, and international administration strategy and registration. The position will have exposure to business segments around the globe. This position can remote in the United States.

Job Description

  • Support the tax compliance process, including management and preparation of US income tax return with our external provider, eventually bringing in-house.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of non-US tax returns.
  • Support the implementation of tax-efficient strategies that align with Locus’s corporate strategy.
  • Establish best practice for non-federal tax, including sales and use, franchise, and others.
  • Own United States compliance filings and documentation, managing our external provider.
  • Establish, analyze, and monitor transfer pricing, including calculating transfer price adjustments as necessary.
  • Organize and maintain documentation and required filings associated with Locus’s expansion into new countries.
  • Assist in opening any required international bank accounts.
  • Support the calculation of international tax attributes and positions during quarterly tax provision and forecast processes.
  • Register new entities and assess permanent establishment exposure, as required.
  • Participate in the preparation of the global corporate income tax provision and lead the walkthrough of workbook and assessment with the Company’s external auditors.
  • Contribute to various business integration projects around the world.
  • Support finance teams on tax controversy and risk assessment, as needed.
  • Participate in various special projects and research international technical tax matters.
  • Collaborate with various departments including accounting, FP&A and other teams throughout the Company to gather and analyze data.
  • Maintain VAT filings and compliance for countries Locus operates in.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
  • Minimum 4 years federal or international income tax experience within a multinational organization and/or public accounting firm.
  • Experience managing cross-functional and cross-border tax-related matters.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and ability to extract data from accounting and consolidation systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail is mandatory.
  • Must possess strong collaborative skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn as well as possess the ability to act and operate independently.
