OverviewThe Debt Asset Management Team is responsible for the oversight of a portfolio of commercial real estate debt investments. The Analyst, Debt will be responsible for supporting the asset management team in preserving and creating value in the existing portfolio. This role will work alongside the investment team in the origination, underwriting and execution of real estate debt related investment opportunities across various property types. The Analyst, Debt will support the team by maintaining complex financial analyses, evaluating monthly operating reports, and interacting directly with sponsors.

The Analyst, Debt will support the team by maintaining complex financial analyses, evaluating monthly operating reports, and interacting directly with sponsors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the proactive monitoring and management of a portfolio of debt investments across various property types;
- Review and analyze business plans, leasing activity and monthly property operating performance;
- Perform market-level due diligence;
- Maintain detailed and complex asset-level cash flow reforecasting models;
- Organize investment level data on a monthly & quarterly reporting basis;
- Once up to speed, oversee and train incoming analysts;
- Evaluate and analyze potential new debt investments and assist with due diligence and execution of said investments;
- Perform additional ad-hoc analysis as needed;
- Assist with ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the performance of investments, execution of business plans, and sub-market fundamentals;
- Summarize and present on portfolio performance to senior management; and
- Perform cash flow modeling, competitive property analysis, and market research analysis.
Professional Experience
- A minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience
- Demonstrated interest in commercial real estate analytics
Education/Certification
- Bachelor’s degree required

- Job Knowledge & Technical Ability: Development and analysis of real estate-based financial models with a focus on multifamily, office, and industrial assets; ability to build out a complex financial model from scratch including waterfalls and various debt structures. Property underwriting and advanced financial modeling and analytics. Ability to understand and analyze loan documents, leases and management agreements.

- 1-2 times per month depending on deal list.
