About the position

 

The position is located at our office in Bucharest and falls under Systematic’s Global Business Services area. As a Senior Financial Controller, you will join a well-established team with 6 highly skilled colleagues, working in close collaboration to ensure the financial health and sustainability of our organization. The future Senior Financial Controller will directly report to the Finance Manager.

 

Your Daily Impact as a Senior Financial Controller

 

Your main responsibility will be to lead financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide key insights for strategic decision-making.

 

In addition to that, some of your key tasks will be to:

 

• Active role in managing all accounting operations including, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Salaries, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition, I/C, Consolidation
• Support for preparation of timely monthly financial statements
• Control all the BS / PL for assigned subsidiaries
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Manage occasional posting of expense claims and invoices in D365, while also overseeing the approval of expense claims through CONCUR
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Support for the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Checking / reconciling relevant accounts
• Support with ad-hoc request
• Fixed costs controlling
• Active participation in implementation of internal controls

 

Are you the talent we've been searching for?

 

• You hold an Advanced degree in Accounting such as ACCA or CPA
• You have at least 10 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills (working with ERP’s)
• Data warehouses understanding
• Proficient in using ERP systems and skilled in navigating Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; adept at generating and interpreting BI reports
• You are fluent in English and thrive in an international working environment

Practical information

 

• Hybrid setup: office and remote work
• Our team is based in Romania and Denmark, with collaboration and occasional travel between the two locations, so you should expect 2-3 business trips per year.
