About the Role:
At Spartronics, the Team Leaders direct the work of Supply Chain Buyers and Master Schedulers who perform a variety of functions that directly or indirectly support production functions. This may include, but is not limited to, production assembly, machine operation, and various material control functions. They are responsible for monitoring quality and mentoring respective team members.
Work Schedule:
- 4-day/10-hour work week.
- Shift 1: Monday - Thursday, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Overtime may be required on Fridays and Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
- Manage strategic suppliers and commodities to meet quality, delivery, and cost savings objectives.
- Support the Supervisor in prioritizing and distributing daily work based on schedule requirements.
- Guide team members on work instructions, tools, and standard procedures.
- Monitor inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols, as well as adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Manage suppliers for purchase orders to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
- Maintain the integrity of MRP parameters (lot/order size, lead time, and safety stock).
- Assist with onboarding and on-the-job training of new team members.
- Escalate production, material, or quality issues promptly to leadership.
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with manufacturing, shipping/receiving, and project management personnel to avoid any adverse production impact from supplier delivery delays.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Perform other duties or support other areas as needed based on business requirements or production flow.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 - 5 years of warehouse or inventory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 1 - 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Computer proficiency, including ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills and ability to train others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to interpret work instructions, documentation, and safety requirements.
- Must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field.
- Prior leadership or mentorship experience in a production setting.
- Experience in electronics or aerospace manufacturing.
- Familiarity with IPC and ISO standards in a materials context.
- Experience supporting customer or third-party inventory audits.

Physical Requirements / Essential Functions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for long periods.
- Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse tools.
- Manual and visual inspection of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Able to work in both office and warehouse environments as needed.
