Inventory Coordinator- GMP

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to Supervisor l, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Raritan, NJ 08869

Shifts: Monday - Friday 6:00PM - 2:30PM

Hourly Rate: $24/hr. + 10% shift differential= $26.10/hr.

What we’re looking for  

·       Education: High School Diploma or GED required

·       Experience: 2+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service.

OSHA Right to Know a plus, cross-referencing and inside sales experience a plus, knowledge of scientific products and services a plus

·       Collaboration Tool:

• Knowledge of Information intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel.

• Utilize various inventory management systems such as SAP, Citrix, and Avantor Inventory Management Systems.

·       Preferred Qualifications:  

• Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances.

• Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing.

• Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can do attitude.

• High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and procedures.

• Must be able to lift 50lbs

• Travel may be required between buildings on-site.

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

• Manage inventory of consumables, chemicals, and samples

• Ensure accurate inventory control and processing of inventory movements.

• Fulfill customer metric reporting requirements.

• Provide daily customer service functions related to inventory management.

• Communicate effectively with customers regarding inventory inquiries and updates.

• Handle backorder reporting and expediting.

• Arrange direct factory shipments and provide 3rd party support.

• Manage quotes, document control, and resolve pricing issues.

• Coordinate shipping of customer materials.

• Responsible for handling hazardous materials.

• Prepare shipping documentation and packaging requirements.

• Interface directly with customer points of contact, purchasing directors, and facility managers.

• Utilize various inventory management systems such as SAP, Citrix, and Avantor Inventory Management Systems.

Additional Responsibilities:

Cleaning glassware within the laboratory environment and conducting data collection and analysis on usage rates.
